The sculpture studio of James A. Vigil is located in the Jemez mountains of New Mexico, approximately 60 miles northwest of Albuquerque. James' studio is set in a beautiful spot at the base of Guadalupe Mesa, next to Jemez Creek, under a canopy of cottonwood trees.
He works primarily outdoors and is blessed with wonderful weather in New Mexico. Most any day, no matter the season, you can call to visit his home. There you will see works in progress, from raw stone to finished pieces. He is happy to give guests a glimpse of the process and answer their questions.
